TEAM TO HOST THE BIGGEST NIGHT IN LATIN MUSIC®

MIAMI (Oct. 29, 2015) — Current Latin GRAMMY® nominees Julión Álvarez, Silvestre Dangond, Natalia Lafourcade, and Nicky Jam will perform on the 16th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards™ along with a special performance by this year's Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year Roberto Carlos. Adding to the star-studded roster, Major Lazer and mØ will make their Latin GRAMMY stage debut for what will be an unforgettable performance. Mexican actress Jacqueline Bracamontes and Puerto Rican singer/songwriter and actress Roselyn Sánchez will host, together for the first time, the Biggest Night in Latin Music®, which is scheduled to air live on the Univision Network Nov. 19 from 8–11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Julión Álvarez y Su Norteño Banda and Silvestre Dangond each received one nomination. In the Best Banda Album category Julión Álvares y Su Norteño Band are nominated for El Aferrado. Dangond is nominated with Lucas Dangond in the Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album category for Sigo Invicto.
Lafourcade, three-time Latin GRAMMY winner and one of this year's leading nominees, received five nominations: Album Of The Year and Best Alternative Music Album for Hasta La Raíz, and Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Alternative Song for "Hasta La Raíz."
Nicky Jam has three nominations for Best Urban Performance: "Una Cita (Remix)" with Alkilados Featuring J Alvarez & El Roockie, and "El Perdón" with Enrique Iglesias and Best Urban Music Album for Greatest Hits Vol 1.
Previously announced performers include current nominees ChocQuibTown, J Balvin, Natalia Jiménez, Juan Luis Guerra, Matisse, and Raquel Sofía as well as a special performance by GRAMMY® winner Will Smith and current nominees Bomba Estéreo.
The 16th Latin GRAMMY Awards will be supported via Univision Radio (the official Spanish-language radio network of the Latin GRAMMY Awards), and highlighted at www.latingrammy.com and www.univision.com/latingrammy, which will feature video interviews and photos, an extensive archive of past shows, a live-blog, and dedicated forums for fans to share their excitement leading up to the live broadcast. Additionally, the telecast will be distributed internationally to more than 80 countries.
Once again, LatinGRAMMY.com will offer exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of the 16th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards via Latin GRAMMY en Vivo. The live stream will include interviews from various locations including the red carpet arrivals, the Latin GRAMMY Premiere™ ceremony, backstage, and the media center beginning at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET. Preceding the Latin GRAMMY Awards telecast, Univision will present exclusive "Noche De Estrellas" ("Night Of The Stars") coverage of the celebrity arrivals direct from the Latin GRAMMY Awards red carpet starting at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central). "Noche De Estrellas" will feature live interviews and commentary on the stars and their fashion, and will provide viewers an intimate look at Latin music's most glamorous event while connecting fans with their favorite celebrities via social media.
