MIAMI (OCTOBER 18, 2022) — The Latin Recording Academy® announced today that it will hold an acoustic concert in Madrid on October 26 to celebrate all Nominees for the 23rd Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards.
The private concert will feature Becky G, nominated in five categories this year (Recording Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Urban/Fusion Performance, Best Urban Song), along with special guest Daviles de Novelda, with whom she will perform their new single, “Amantes.” In addition, Best New Artist nominee Pol Granch will also take The Latin Academy’s stage for the first time.
The event — to be held in the iconic Las Ventas bull ring — includes performances of songs chosen by the artists, as well as unpublished collaborations, duets and narrations, with the dramatic backdrop of the historic venue and production by BCA Music.
“With our Latin GRAMMY Acoustic Sessions, we seek to open spaces for the new generation of music creators in an organic and inclusive way. We are very excited to be able to celebrate in Madrid on our road to the 23rd Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards,” said Manuel Abud, CEO of The Latin Recording Academy.
The Latin Recording Academy is proud of this special presentation in Spain, made possible by the Community of Madrid, which seeks to attract tourism by consolidating the region’s status as a highlight on the cultural and musical panorama. The event’s official airline, Air Europa, helps bring the Spanish-speaking worlds together with one of the European continent’s most modern and sustainable fleets. With the support from the Official Travel Agency, Úbico Corporate Mobility, the Academy is offering exclusive and highly personalized travel, lodging and transfers for artists and selected guests.
The Latin GRAMMY® Acoustic Sessions offer intimate musical experiences where artists present their own songs through a personal narrative. In addition to showcasing established performers, they aim to promote the new generation of up-and-coming talent, with a special focus on diversity and equality within each genre.
Last July, the Latin Recording Academy kicked off the 2022 Latin GRAMMY® Acoustic Sessions with an online concert from Mexico City featuring Latin GRAMMY nominee El Fantasma accompanied by Latin GRAMMY winners Los Dos Carnales and Latin GRAMMY winner and GRAMMY® nominee Lupita Infante. In addition, the Latin Academy recorded a second online concert in Sao Paulo with Latin GRAMMY nominees Giulia Be, Luísa Sonza and Paula Lima[SC1] alongside Manu Gavassi and Agnes Nunes, which included classic songs from legendary singer/songwriter Rita Lee, who will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award this November during Latin GRAMMY Week in Las Vegas.

ABOUT POL GRANCH:
That intangible something that distinguishes the great from the merely good? Paul Granch has it in spades. Coupled with a stunning ability to fascinate himself and fascinate others, he has gone in record time from promising youngster to up-and-coming talent and from there to the undeniable star that he is today. His 23rd Annual Latin GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist confirms it: Granch is here to stay.
His experiences as a Latin Recording Academy nominee are testament of Granch’s talent as an international revelation, as he has already confirmed on the other side of the Atlantic. The Madrid resident has a gift, a gift that is manifested in a style at once varied and deeply personal, completely recognizable. That of a genuinely unique artist.
The essence of those achievements is distilled in the diary that makes up Amor escupido, his second album. What’s new about Granch is a merry-go-round of passion and a coded autobiography of desire; a catalog of emotions, unease and doubts that establish him as a fascinating talent.
It’s an album full of drama and disquiet, with a title that refers to the arrows of passion that are his songs: arrows tossed by a young man ridden by doubt who discovers falling in and out of love in all its fullness. “It’s a kind of first-person story of someone looking for what he feels,” the singer and songwriter notes.
When you add to all that baggage the passion he invests in his music, the greatest of his devotions, although not the only one (his actor side is well known), the result is measured in landmarks like those achieved over the last few years or that Latin GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist.
With Amor escupido, Granch has earned the right to believe that all your wishes may come true.
ABOUT DAVILES DE NOVELDA:
Daviles de Novelda is the first Spanish artist to hit No. 1 in YouTube videos and songs simultaneously, making history on the platform thanks to his multiplatinum solo hit “Flamenco y Bachata,” which has amassed more than 114 million streams worldwide, making it the most-viewed video in 2021. He has become one of the most prominent exponents of urban new wave and as the force behind “Flamencotón” – one of the hottest genres in Spain – alongside the prominent presence of big names such as Omar Montes, with whom he has penned high-impact hits, including “Risueña.” And that is not his only high-level collaboration, from C. Tangana and his invitation to participate in “La Culpa” to “Amantes,” which he and U.S. artist Becky G released together last September, and “La Musquita,” which Daviles signed as the summer single alongside famous Colombian duo Cali & El Dandee.
Born in Novelda, a small town in the province of Alicante, and after a decade of teaching himself music, he had his first YouTube hit at 16 with “Yo Soy De Los Fernández” (2016), a freestyle that started climbing the charts without warning. That was when his career took off with hits such as “La Calles de Oro” (44 million) and with his participation in the remake of the Los Chuches’ mythical “Como Ronea” (31 million). His success continues with a long list of hits, including “Dime” (22 million). With each release, he shows an innate versatility as he combines his flamenco purity with rhythms like reggaetón or rap without sacrificing a mainstream vision.
Winner of the Odeón Prize for best urban song, his next releases provide even more proof that there are no limits in his musical universe.
