“After a successful launch last year, we are excited to continue to grow our mentorship program as we work together to close the gender gap within the Latin music industry,” said Manuel Abud, CEO of The Latin Recording Academy.

“For the second year, She Is The Music is thrilled to be partnering with The Latin Recording Academy and Leading Ladies of Entertainment on our Connect TogetHER mentorship program. In order to create meaningful and sustainable change, the industry must be focused on mentoring our next generation of women in music,” said Alexandra Lioutikoff, Co-Chair of the She Is The Music Latin Committee, Group President of Universal Music Publishing for Latin America and U.S. Latin, and Board Member of The Latin Recording Academy. “As always, we are grateful to our incredible mentors who will guide and inspire this year’s class of mentees and showing the world all of the invaluable potential that Latin women bring to music.”

Spotify also joins as the official sponsor of the Connect TogetHER mentorship program. Spotify, together with Leading Ladies of Entertainment, share a common goal of working toward gender parity in music through education, and has funded two scholarships for deserving young women each year since 2021.

The Leading Ladies of Entertainment initiative was created in 2016 to honor and recognize professional and socially conscious women within the arts and entertainment fields who have made significant contributions and inspired the next generation of female leaders.
