NOTE: October 28, 2021 is the deadline for receipt of any requests to correct or otherwise change credit information associated with a nomination on the official list of nominees.
The deadline for an individual not credited in the liner notes or metadata files to claim status as a nominee is 30 working days after the announcement of the nominations. If for any reason, a nominated recording/video needs a credit correction, the record label legal representative or the owner of the recording master needs to send the corrected official label copy to The Latin Recording Academy® no later than 30 days after the nominations are announced. After that grace period, The Latin Recording Academy will not accept any change or addition to the initially received credits.
The corrected official label copy needs to be attached to a formal letter from the legal representative of the record label or the owner of the recording master detailing specifically what was inaccurately submitted or omitted, along with an explanation of why the error took place and what steps are being taken by the company to correct the mistake. The Latin Recording Academy® may also require further information or documentation to substantiate the authenticity of the requested correction. Once the information is reviewed and approved by the Chief Awards, Membership & Preservation Officer, the nomination will be corrected.
Any requests to correct or otherwise change credit information received by The Latin Recording Academy® after October 28, 2021, will not be considered. The Latin Recording Academy® expressly disclaims any liability to any person or entity with respect to credit information associated with a nomination on the official list of nominees.
